I write lemons not tragedies

The fact that I have to agree with David Gaider pains me to my very soul, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I think the reason Americans are fascinated by monarchies is we like the idea of having just one bad person to blame for our horrible country, instead of a whole evil committee. Also way easier to assassinate a monarch rather than the entire Republican party. (For legal reasons I am joking.)

The sinking of the MV Sewol is one of those tragedies that haunt me even though I wasn’t in any way connected to it. The world is full of incredible tragedies but something about this one haunts me in a way I don’t know quite how to describe it. It was a perfect storm of adults failing children in indescribably awful ways, I think that’s what chills me so much.
